Second Edition. Mid C19th dark tan leather over brown cloth; raised bands and maroon leather title label on spine. Light rubbing to extremities with small chips to spine ends, nameplate on front pastedown, good. In the Preface Roy states that the while the Lectures concerned his experiences in "the battle of life", the Stories "chief aim was amusement".
