Corners bumped, a little rubbing on spine ends, small name label on front pastedown, date stamp (2 Feb 1943) on upper corner of front free endpaper and two partial date stamps on edge of title page, otherwise a clean, tight copy, good. Sadleir's binding style "D", which, with evidence of the booklist on the endpapers, show this is a later issue of the 1837 edition. View more info

Original backstrip has losses on edges and has been relaid on green cloth (see photo), with new endpapers (restoration mid C20th). Corners rubbed, all plates heavily browned on edges, good. Wolff [3504] in slate-grey cloth. As Wolff suggests, this appears to be a reissue of the first edition sheets, as De Lunitico Inquirendo appears as the running title throughout. View more info
