First Edition. Late C19th green binder's cloth, lettered in gilt on spine. Spine ends scuffed, light marks on boards, good. Originally issued in blue-grey card wrappers (Topp VIII, p.296), this has been rebound in binder's cloth. Both Sadleir's and Wolff's copies were similarly rebound. Cholmondeley's first novel: given its original ephemeral format, quite a rare survivor. A mystery story involving the theft of a bag of jewels. View more info
