Undated first edition [1924]. Publisher's remainder binding: maroon cloth, with blindstamped borders on boards, and art-nouveau flower designs on spine, lettered in gilt. Lettering on spine oxidised, otherwise very good. Semi-humorous crime novel (listed in Hubin). Chuck Summers pursues clues to the disappearance of William Goodenough, through Australa and the Far East. Cable/Ewart wrote two crime novels and a collection of short stories (his best known works relate his experiences in the trenches during the First World War).
