Undated Willoughby edition, c1848. Frontispiece by George Cruikshank and vignette title by Robert Cruikshank precede printed title page; a further 23 plates by the Cruikshank brothers in the text. Late C19th rebinding in green binder's cloth, lettered in gilt on spine. Corners rubbed, foxing and light staining on plates: one plate has margin trimmed away, last page of text has small repair, book plate of the Royal Forth Yacht Club on front pastedown, good. Wolff [293a] noting that Barker's initials are reversed on the title page. Barker edited the whole and signed some of the stories including The Boatswain's Love Letter & Dick Fitton A Ghost Story.
