The Penny Magazine, Volume XLIV (44), [1910 - 11]

Contains: Mr Smith of Nowhere by C. Malcolm HINCKS. Complete serialisation. The Red Lady. A Story of Russian Nihilism by Captain Frank SHAW. Start of serialisation. Mary Sims, Typist by L. J. BEESTON. Six mystery stories. The Telephone Star by Fred M. WHITE. Five mystery stories. Short stories include: The Moor Farm by Florence WARDEN, A Gentleman of the Road by Katharine TYNAN, The Lost Duchess by Richard MARSH. Original red cloth, lettered and decorated in orange and black. Poor quality paper lightly tanned throughout, lacks front free endpaper, otherwise good. Malcolm Hincks was one of the (many) authors who wrote stories featuring the detective hero Sexton Blake. Mr Smith is a mystery thriller, but I can find no record of book issue (nor indeed of the stories by Beeston or White). A heavy volume which will require additional postage outside the UK.
