First Thus, New Edition Revised by the Author, with Further Revision and an Introduction by His Eldest Son. Frontispiece portrait of Hunt. Original dark blue cloth heavily embossed with wavy line designs, lettered in gilt on spine. Boards lightly grazed, small chip in top corner of rear board, foxing on frontispiece, good. Hunt was a man of letters (poet, essayist, translator), a friend of many literary figures in the first half of the nineteenth century, and immortalised (unkindly) by Dickens as Harold Skimpole in Bleak House.
