Original blindstamped blue cloth, lettered in gilt. Minimal scuffing, foxing spots on early pages and fore-edges, otherwise very good. Whitechurch is best remembered for his crime fiction. However, A Downland Corner is a collection of fifteen stories of country life, and was followed (at wide intervals) with two further collections: Downland Echoes (1924) and Mute Witnesses: Being Certain Annals of a Downland Village (1933).
