Short stories include: Amour Dure by Vernon LEE, The Silver Casket by Maxwell GRAY, For Those Who Love Music & Monsieur Alfredo by Axel MUNTHE, My Advertisement by Paul CUSHING. Articles include: The Story of the Dead Wife by Andrew LANG, Fighting and Trapping Out West by W. F. CODY ("Buffalo Bill"), A House of Rest by Dinah CRAIK, The Joy of Living by Grant ALLEN. Two volumes uniformly bound in late C19th deep purple leather over lilac cloth, lettered in gilt on spines; black endpapers. Lightly scuffed, inner joints reinforced, otherwise a good set. The house magazine for the publisher John Murray. It only ran for 5 years, as it probably seemed very old-fashioned once The Strand Magazine started to appear in 1891.
