Undated Blackie edition, c1934. Illustrated. Original steel-blue cloth, lettered in gilt on spine. Gilt lettering a little dulled, otherwise a very crisp, bright, clean copy: near fine. Although some of the stories from the collection (such as A Terribly Strange Bed) have been much anthologised, Collins's original conception was to present a group of tales woven together with an interlinking narrative (Leaves from Leah's Diary) to form a single unified work.
