Utter Happiness (1925)

Book Condition: Very Good

Original black cloth with blindstamped borders, lettered in pale blue. Label ("File Copy") on front board; stamp and file number on title page: otherwise a crisp, tight, apparently unread copy, very good. Savile started writing in the 1890s with a reversed pseudonym ("Knarf Elivas") and his best known-book is probably Beyond the Great South Wall (1899), a lost race novel set in Antarctica. Utter Happiness is an adventure novel of love, commerce and treachery set in and around the British Residency at "El Orfan" in "North-East Africa" (Egypt).
