New Ninepenny Novels, Leaders of Modern Fiction. Original grey card, decorated in blue. A little rubbed head/foot of spine, otherwise very good. Alice Williamson found her greatest fame writing motoring romances (for example The Lightening Conductor, 1902) with her husband Charles during the Edwardian era. After his death she continued to write (using her late husband's initials, rather than her own), until she committed suicide in 1933.
