Original brown cloth. Corners bumped, small chip on top spine corner of rear board, otherwise good. White had a long and successful career as a civil servant in India. He retired to Lewes in Sussex, and after writing 4 unremarkable novels with English settings, produced a further 4 novels, exploring mysticism and eastern philosophies, set in India. The Pilgrimage of Premnáth is the last, published after White was killed by the flu epidemic of 1918. It is "the record of a Hindu banker's search for salvation". Scarce.
