Original blindstamped lilac cloth, lettered in gilt; black endpapers. Book Society (London)/W. Mack (Bristol)/E. Goodman (Taunton). Spine and board edges sunned to brown, light damp marking on top edge of front board (with slight bowing of corner), good. Published anonymously. Clearly influenced by Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress: the story starts in the city of Veil-over: the characters set sail in the Ark-for-us towards the Land of Grace. Characters include Cyrus Soundman, Richard Peaceful, Mr Wakeful, Mr Godliman etc. Very scarce. Price: 40.00 GBP
