Third Edition. Early C19th brown leather over marbled boards; raised bands, gilt rules and black leather title label on spine. Board edges rubbed, a few small dark spots to leather on spine, light foxing, boards lightly grazed, armorial bookplate on front pastedown, good. A series of imaginary letters from a traveller in Napoleonic Belgium and France: contains a detailed description of the Battle of Waterloo. Published anonymously.

Edinburgh Archibald Constable 1822 First Edition in Three Volumes Hard Cover 
Sympathetically restored bindings: full leather, with later maroon calf spines, with raised bands and gilt decorations, perfectly matching colour of early C19th boards, which are intricately blindstamped with decorative gold framing; original brown marbled endpapers; all edges marbled. A little light edgewear, otherwise a clean, tight, bright set: very good. Half-titles present in all volumes. A very attractive, professional and successful restoration. Heavy three-volume set, which will require additonal postage.
