	2	Jones, Hannah Maria The Gipsy Mother, or The Miseries of Enforced Marriage: A Tale of Mystery (1833) London Virtue & Tallis 1833 First Edition Hard Cover undated first edition [1833]. Frontispiece (dated 1833) & engraved title page (portrait of Princess Victoria) precede printed title page. 10 further plates (listed at end of text). 2 page dedication to Princess Victoria. Mid C19th black leather over black beaded cloth, lettered in gilt on spine; green endpapers. Light scuffing, inner joints lightly cracking (but joints tight), foxing spots throughout; also a number of old (and some very old) repairs to paper on page edges, with occasional closed tears etc. A fair copy. Later copies -- those after the coronation year of 1837 -- are dedicated to Queen Victoria: and some can be identified by dated plates. The only dated plate in this copy is the frontispiece (1833).
