Bound, second in volume with: PUNCH [ie Douglas Jerrold]: Mrs Caudle's Curtain Lectures (1845) Evert D. Long (New York), undated [1856]. Illustrated. Two volumes bound as one in mid C19th black leather over marbled boards. Title on spine reads Curtain Lectures and Others. Extremities scuffed, last leaf of Mrs Caudle has small tears to edges, some foxing spots, good. Declaration on verso of title page for The Bridal Eve reads "Entered according to Act of Congress, in the year 1864". Publisher's booklist on last leaf gives titles by Mrs Southworth, Mrs Henry Wood etc published up to 1864.
