FAMILY COPIES. Baudry's European Library:1834, 1834, 1834, 1841. Four volumes uniformly bound in mid C19th tan leather over light brown marbled boards; raised bands, gilt decorations and brown leather title labels on spines. Boards grazed, leatherwork rubbed on extremities, short splits to leather on spine ends, ancient repairs to leather on spine tips (with piece of leather overlaid on two volumes), a few foxing spots, impressed stamp ("Jerna & Hörningsholm") on prelims, bookplate of Horace Marryat on each front pastedown, fair/good. Horace was Frederick Marryat's youngest brother, a traveller in Scandinavia and author of A Residence in Jutland (1860) and One Year in Sweden (1862). The bookplates bear Horace's name and the family motto: Fortuna Superanda Ferendo. A heavy 4-volume item which will require additional postage.

In this copy: 32 page catalogue, dated July 1845 bound in at the end of volume I. Two volumes set: will require additional postage outside the UK.
