London Chatto & Windus 1892 Hardcover Very Good Book 
New Edition, Piccadilly Novels. Original olive-brown boards, blocked in black on front board and spine, lettered in gilt on spine; green-and-white "convulvulus" endpapers. Faint mark on leading edges of boards, short tear at foot of half-title, bookplate on front free endpaper, otherwise very good. Caine's second novel: a melodrama set largely in the Lake District. Publisher's catalogue for September 1892 bound in at end.
