Original brown cloth, lettered in gilt. Light scuffing, signature (1977) on half-title, a little light foxing, otherwise very good. A novel set in and around Mold in North Wales. The author probably came from the area, but had emigrated to Tasmania before this novel was written: he later published a non-fiction work -- Tasmanians in the Transvaal War (1905) -- in Hobart.
