6 Swan, Annie S. [Annie Shepherd Swan] Who Are the Heathen? (1942)
London Hodder & Stoughton 1942 First Edition Hardcover Good Good Book
Original pale blue cloth: lightly speckled, good. Original pictorial yellow dustwrapper: rubbed on edges, good. "Annie S. Swan's first novel of this war." (blurb on rear panel of dust-jacket). Swan began writing in the 1870s and published around 150 novels in a more than 70-year career. There is little bibliographical information on Swan's fiction: but it appears that the "first novel of this war" was also the author's very last: she died in 1943.
